I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Walker & Dunlop, where he was a Senior Frontend Engineer on my team.

Dave has strong ownership and a lot of initiative. He doesn't just pick up tickets, he looks for ways to improve things, especially around frontend best practices and standardization across teams.

He was also a great mentor. Always available to help, easy to work with, and a big contributor to a collaborative team culture

He's constantly learning, from both successes and mistakes, and you can see that in how he grows and how he helps others grow.

On top of that, just a solid person to work with, friendly, reliable, and someone you can count on.

I have worked with Dave for 5 years, and was his manager for 2 years. He was, in addition to being a great person to work with, a great asset and would be a great asset to any team. He has a very wide knowledge of frontend frameworks and different practices.

Even more fundamentally, he understands the basic architectural principles of good frontend development. He is able to work with product and balance different priorities and tradeoff to create a plan to tackle the issue. He was an influence on not just our team, but was a technical leader for the entire company.

I've had the pleasure of working with Dave for several years across multiple projects. It's rare to find a person with superb technical abilities who can communicate their value and vision to non-technical teams. Dave keeps everyone in mind when working towards solutions and goes out of his way to ensure the team, as a whole, is on the same page.

Dave creates an environment where everyone feels supported and never misses an opportunity to share education with others. I rely on his expertise to communicate the value of front-end engineering to our Customer Success team and trust that he will always lean on best practices. He is focused on the goals we wish to achieve, and doesn't hesitate to offer a helping hand or work extra hours to meet deadlines.

Dave is intelligent, proactive, self-motivated, and driven to educate others. He has continually gone above and beyond for his team, and for the teams that work alongside him. His continual excitement and positive energy motivates others to do their best work. Dave is true to the team and continually strives for the highest standards.

I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Dave and wouldn't hesitate to work with him on any project in the future. His value goes beyond a typical employee. Dave and I partnered together on projects ranging in size and scope for over ten years. We have worked at multiple employers together and have also hired each other as freelancers in that timeframe as well. Dave is an extremely passionate developer with a broad skill set. He is a very design-friendly developer which makes him a sought-after collaborator who always stays true to the design and scope of work but is able to provide appropriate personal touches to elevate every project that he works on. Dave would make a great addition to any team seeking a positive, outgoing, hard-working developer.

Three years ago, I met Dave at the first CodePen Cincinnati Meetup, which he founded back in 2017. ince then, l've been a Co-organizer for the Meetup, and also have collaborated with him on his open source CSS Grid framework, Griddle.

He's one of the few front-end developers I know that doesn't chase shiny new technology for the sake of new technology. He's patient and carefully considers the available options before going down a path. Most developers don't consider the business impacts of their decisions, but I know Dave realizes the importance of serving business stakeholders first.

Also, he is excellent at managing development processes and bullding up his teammates. I've seen him in action, and he's a fantastic mentor and educator. That's also evident by his growing collection or authored books, as he continues to share his knowledge with the world.

Between his technical skills, ability to lead, and willingness to teach, l'm confident that Dave will be al fantastic technology executive in the next decade or so

Dave is an awesome person to work with! He is constantly upbeat and ready to tackle any job that comes his way. You're always met with a smile when working with Dave.

Not only is Dave great to be around, but he sincerely does a nice job with everything he produces. I know that when Dave is in charge of a task that it will be done properly and thoroughly.

I don't want this to be too good of a recommendation because I don't want him to ever leave ;-) But seriously, Dave is wonderful!

David was an excellent web developer resource for INFODYNAMICS. He totally redesigned our site and was attentive and flexible to our input, while working independently and remotely! He provided creative ideas to bring our site up to date and was the "go to" resource for our short term project, which he brought in ahead of schedule as well! I'd highly recommend David as a top-notch development resource.

David is a huge asset to Bearcast Media. I had the privilege of working alongside him when I was Programming Director last year, and I consider myself lucky to have him on the team now that I'm GM. His "always on" work ethic is invaluable and he's never failed to make himself available whenever I've needed him. Such ease of communication is hard to find in a coworker, not to mention ambition. David has taken initiative to bring a new service to our organization by way of building other UC groups' websites that has the potential to bring Bearcast Media a broader reach, an influx of finances and a closer collaboration with the UC community at large. He does his job well and with a smile, and I'll never be able to express how essential he is to our success.

I asked David to be a part of the Bearcast Media team back in the summer of 2013 to help brand the new Bearcast Media and build/design the new website. I think David's work speaks for itself: clean, classic, and sexy! His personal and professional growth has been night and day. From the quiet behind-the-scenes guy to a great leader, managing groups of "coders", and teaching students coding, HTML, etc. A self starter with great passion for New Media. You will have a hard time not becoming friends with David.
